Bobst launches compact laminator for digital flexpack applications
Nova MW laminator is optimized to work with reels from 400-830mm wide, with an emphasis on short-run work
Bobst has launched a compact solventless laminator targeted at the new generation of mid-web digital presses producing short runs of value-added flexible packaging.
Built around a core of Bobst’s wide-web lamination technology, the Nova MW laminator is optimized to work with reels from 400-830mm width, with an emphasis on ultra-short production runs, with tool-less job changeovers accomplished in minutes.
It will run with a wide range of materials including thin alu-foil, metalized film and thin stretchable materials, and with all solventless adhesive types. The lamination speed is up to 350 m/min and it handles reels up to 1000Kg.
The Nova MW comes prepared for bi-directional industry 4.0 data communication. Options include fully integrated automatic washing, independent setting of thermal regulation for coating unit and metering rolls, cooling roller after the laminating unit, coating thickness measurement system and anodized idle rollers.
