GMG Color launches color proof for HP Indigo at Labelexpo 2023
GMG ColorProof allows for a more efficient digital printing process
GMG Color, a developer of proofing and color management tools, will highlight its partnership with HP Indigo by showcasing the new GMG ColorProof for HP Indigo at Labelexpo Europe 2023.
At the event, renowned as a global platform for labeling and packaging professionals, GMG will launch a new evolution of its established GMG ColorProof platform, tailored in partnership with HP to leverage the power of digital HP DesignJet proofing.
Taking proofs off-press to unlock press capacity, reduce costs and accelerate production, the technology sets the stage for more efficient digital printing process. Coming from the US, GMG Color will be represented at Labelexpo by GMG Americas director of technology, Birgit Plautz, and GMG Americas vice president of sales, Paulo Monteiro, together with global partnership manager, Darrian Young.
Throughout Labelexpo, Plautz will be stationed at the HP booth, P100, to demonstrate the advantages on-press, including the HP Indigo V12 and 200K Digital Presses being launched at the event, the successor to the label and flexible packaging market-leading HP Indigo Series 5 and 6 presses. The HP booth will feature several state-of-the-art digital presses including the Indigo 6K, operating with GMG ColorProof technology to simulate varied conditions and machines in label converting.
Monteiro commented: ‘As we launch the HP Indigo-specific version of GMG ColorProof – a true game-changer for narrow web printers and converters - we are delighted to connect with businesses from across the category. The theme for Labelexpo 2023 is ‘modern legends of print’, and GMG certainly has a place in that list, with solutions trusted by printers from all corners of the globe.’
He continued: ‘As well as celebrating our new proofing tech collaboration with HP and marking the launch of the Indigo V12 and 200K digital presses, we will be discussing how digital printers can use better proofing and color management workflows to reduce costs and free up valuable digital press capacity. The benefits extend beyond HP Indigo. Today’s label converters are under pressure to deliver speed, precision and savings all in one, and that’s no simple task. However, it’s made possible with better color communication workflows. The GMG Color team will be available for one-to-one meetings and personalized demonstrations for the duration of the event, including at the GMG Color booth, 11C20.
