IST Metz appoints managing director

IST Metz has appointed Tim Sterbak as managing director of the UV specialist, effecitve Jan 1 2023. 

Since January 2022, Christian-Marius Metz and Sterbak jointly steered the the company. With Sterbak’s appointment, Christian-Marius Metz will focus his work on the future of the Metz holding company.

Since November 2012, Metz, grandson of company founder Gerhard Metz, has been part of the management team of UV curing specialist and global market leader for UV and LED technology IST Metz.

‘I have full confidence that Tim Sterbak will continue to lead the fortunes as he did last year already. During our close cooperation, he has proven that he not only acts with heart and mind but also has the right sense of proportion to make the right decisions,’ said Christian-Marius Metz.

Christian-Marius Metz will concentrate on his work in the holding company, but will continue to maintain close contact with his successor: ‘Of course, I will remain connected with the company, take part in management meetings and provide advice and support,’ he said. Sterbak also emphasizes, ‘We are a strong management team from which Christian-Marius Metz is leaving socially, but not operationally. Our business development shows that we are on the right track. I am looking forward to the future at IST Metz.’
