Konica Minolta focuses on complete packaging workflow at Labelexpo
Company continues its growth path within industrial print markets
Konica Minolta has unveiled new technology and developments that focus on complete workflows in packaging and label markets at Labelexpo Europe 2023. With Labelexpo as the perfect platform, Konica Minolta is exhibiting five running systems at its stand, along with MGI Digital Technology and other partners.
The first product exhibit is the AccurioLabel 400 single-pass digital press that was launched at the beginning of 2023. Targeting high-volume digital print markets, it prints at speeds of up to 39.9 meters a minute. Benefits include automated color and density control, running cost reductions and a wider range of application possibilities through the fifth color station with white toner.
The company is also exhibiting PKG-1300 with MGI’s JETvarnish 3D Web 400 and Octopus Web machine for corrugated manufacturers, converters, printers and brand owners looking for short-run digital inkjet box printing at the show.
AccurioLabel 230 press is another exhibit from the tech giant, configured with Grafisk Maskinfabrik’s (GM) DC330Mini. The setup includes an inkjet customization partnership with Industrial Inkjet (IIJ). IIJ, a recognized global expert in security printing with UV inks. It is also showing other reactive inks possibilities.
Comprehensive software suites – including AccurioPro Flux Label Impose and Accurio Pro Dashboard, together with partner technology –are also available at the expo. These are part of the end-to-end ecosystems, designed for converters. In addition, Konica Minolta’s service capabilities backed by a global network but delivered locally are being showcased.
In 2021 and 2022, Konica Minolta was the leading brand in digital label print systems in Europe with a 25 percent and 27 percent market share according to Infosource data. The Konica Minolta toner press family have been developed in partnership with Grafisk Maskinfabrik.
‘Labelexpo provides us with the perfect opportunity to showcase our extensive end-to-end ecosystems as we continue our transformation journey with customers in a partnership approach,’ said Sacha-Vittorio Paolucci, head of industrial print business development at Konica Minolta Europe. ‘Having first launched our products in the digital label market less than eight years ago, we have now sold more than 1,200 systems throughout the world. Digital label production is now a mainstream technology. We want to continue pushing the boundaries and help converters to ignite their printing possibilities.’
