Roll Flex invests in third Grafotronic machine
US converter adds Grafotronic HI3 inspection slitter/rewinder system
Roll Flex Label Company based in Hackensack, New Jersey, has invested in a Grafotronic HI3 inspection slitter/rewinder system – its third machine from the Sweden-headquartered manufacturer.
The Grafotronic HI3 is a third generation fully servo driven inspection slitter/rewinder machine. The HI3 features a maximum speed of 1,300 feet a minute. It allows for the addition of web inspection systems and accurate fault placement onto an operator friendly, wide, viewing area for removal or replacement of defects. It is upgradable with a semi-automatic turret and our automatic slitting knives.
Roll Flex Label Company, established in 1983, is a prominent New Jersey printer and converter specializing in pressure sensitive labels.
Margaret Zink Boyle, owner of Roll Flex Label Company, said: ‘We invested in a Grafotronic CF2 digital converting machine almost two years ago. Since then, our business has grown about 40 percent. My husband has since joined our company – after having worked on Wall Street - and had never produced a label in his life. We’ve been really happy with our CF2 and Grafotronic has been great with training our employees. It’s been an amazing machine that we’ve enjoyed having in our factory.
‘Following the success of our CF2 investment and the addition of a Raptor sheeting machine, the decision to invest in another Grafotronic machine for high-speed inspection and slitting was a natural choice.’
